George Finch, Britain’s youngest council leader and head of the Reform UK-led Warwickshire County Council, has reported being verbally attacked while in Nuneaton town centre on Friday evening.
According to Finch, he was called a 'fascist' and accused of being a 'racist' during the incident.
The attack comes amid heightened political debate over Reform UK’s policies. Recently, Prime Minister Keir Starmer described Reform’s migrant policy as 'racist' and 'immoral,' while Green Party leader Zack Polanski called the party’s politics 'dangerous' and 'deceitful.'
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage told the Daily Mail he was 'deeply upset that our young council leader was assaulted' and described the Prime Minister’s criticism as a 'disgraceful attack.'
A Labour spokesperson said: 'Violence, harassment, or intimidation is completely unacceptable and has no place in our politics or society. Any such incidents must be thoroughly investigated, and the perpetrators must be brought to justice.'
