Local authorities across London are being forced to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds repairing vandalised low-traffic neighbourhood (LTN) infrastructure.
Freedom of information requests sent by the Guardian have revealed that London boroughs have spent more than £850,000 fixing vandalised bollards and cameras since 2020.
The newspaper’s research found that Hackney council had the biggest bill, paying nearly £400,000 for repairs.
The London borough of Lambeth had the second biggest bill, paying out £310,000 to repair LTN equipment that had been vandalised.
