The Government has announced 80 new Youth Hub locations across Britain, as part of a drive to tackle the nearly one million young people currently neither earning nor learning.
Youth Hubs bring together Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, employers and training providers under one roof to support 16 to 24-year-olds, offering mental health support, careers guidance and direct connections to employers.
The expansion forms part of a £2.5bn investment in the Youth Guarantee, aimed at creating 200,000 jobs and apprenticeship opportunities. New Youth Hub locations include Ipswich, Manchester, Dundee and Newport, with hubs set to reach over 360 areas within three years.
