Five million voters could be disenfranchised by the Government’s new voter ID rules at the General Election, first-of-its-kind polling has suggested.
Campaign group Best for Britain said almost two million people unaware of the requirements for photo ID at elections lived in marginal and ultra-marginal constituencies, which ‘could save top Tories in knife-edge seats’.
