Eurosigns were asked by their supplier, Lakeside Films, to create a concept design for that would show off their new V-8000 Emergency reflective material that was to be showcased at the NAPFM (National Association of Police Fleet Managers) Emergency Fleet Exhibition.

The new V-8000 Emergency reflective material boasts many features such as conforming to simple curves, not needing to be edge sealed and being able to withstand vehicle maintenance such a pressure washing which are characteristics many materials on the market do not have.

Lakeside wanted something a bit different that would stand out and make an impact against the plethora of standard police vehicles at the exhibition. So, they came to Eurosigns, who supply a substantial proportion of the emergency services with vehicle livery around the country.

The brief consisted of two images (Space Invaders and Pacman) and the words ‘something like this – but whatever you think is best’. So, it was fairly open but there were manufacturing constraints to be considered such as there are only seven colours in emergency reflective material, what would look good, how would it be fitted as this would differ from the usual vehicle wrap that Eurosigns does for the emergency services.

In addition to the design of the vehicle livery Eurosigns were also asked to design the stand for the exhibition. This mirrored the hexagon design which is apparent in the V-8000 material itself, keeping the branding consistent throughout.

Laura Potter, Eurosigns Graphic Designer said “This was a really fun project and I look forward to working with Lakeside Films again soon.”
