West Berkshire Council has issued a warning after fake QR code stickers were found on some of its parking machines.
The council said it does not use QR codes as a payment method in its car parks, and its Civil Enforcement team has removed any fraudulent stickers identified so far, with monitoring of sites continuing.
A spokesperson for the council urged residents not to scan any QR code spotted on a parking machine that appears linked to payment and asked residents to report any code found.
