Over £10,000 of unlicensed Oasis merchandise was confiscated by council officers at the band’s July shows.
Bury Council licensing officers seized over 500 bucket hats, more than 200 t-shirts, 10 bags and 15 hoodies, as well as vapes and bottles of water at the Heaton Park gigs.
The value of the items sold by unlicensed traders amounted to roughly £12,000.
During the five shows played by the duo, over 100 unlicensed pedlars were encountered by officers, with more than 20 moved on.
Alongside the merchandise-related issues, problems due to noise, overcrowding and road closure violations were also flagged by residents.
Cllr Charlotte Morris, cabinet member for culture and the economy, said: ‘Our enforcement teams did a tremendous job at the summer Oasis gigs.
‘Dodgy merchandise may seem like a victim-less crime to some, but it hits legitimate traders trying to make a living, and customers have no guarantees about the safety or quality of what they’re buying.’
