Burnham to boost mayors' spending power

Prime Minister Andy Burham is preparing to announce a significant boost to mayors' spending power later this week, it has been reported.

Burnham is expected to confirm on Friday that a share of income tax revenue will be passed to mayors in a move aimed at encouraging economic growth.
