Ministers have insisted Whitehall is ‘committed to seeing local government reorganisation through' as they announced an April 2029 vesting day for 20 areas.
The Government issued ‘minded to' decisions for five areas – East Sussex and Brighton & Hove, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire – that match the July decisions almost word for word.
