EXCLUSIVE: Intervention cost hits £9.5m

Councils have been forced to shell out £9.5m on Government intervention over the last four years, research by The MJ has found.

The figure, which has been calculated using data published from June 2021 to October this year, covers the cost of commissioners, envoys and improvement and assurance panels across 10 council interventions.
