All Woking Borough Council staff will go through redundancy consultations by the end of the year as the struggling local authority seeks to tackle its financial problems.
In June, the council issued a section 114 notice and is consulting on its discretionary services to deal with £2bn of debt.
It has now confirmed that a small number of its 350 members of staff will go through redundancy consultations immediately. The rest will go through the same process in autumn.
