The chief executives of both Manchester City Council and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority have been recognised in the New Year Honours List.

Joanne Roney of the city council and former president of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives receives a CBE and Eamonn Boylan of the combined authority, who is retiring in May, receives an OBE.
