Nottingham City Council unfurled what is believed to be the largest English flag in the country to celebrate St George’s Day.
Sponsored by SCAPE and signage company John E Wright and Co Ltd, the 60ft by 26ft (18m by 8m) Cross of St. George covered most of the Council House frontage.
Cllr David Mellen, leader of Nottingham City Council, said: ‘The St George flag is an iconic sight to behold when in place on the front of the Council House. Many thanks to both SCAPE and John E Wright for their support in sponsoring it this year.’
