Council enforcement officers in Spelthorne could be given body cameras to wear in a bid to protect staff from aggression and abuse.
Spelthorne Borough Council is consulting on plans for parking enforcements officers to wear the cameras, and if successfully would also be rolled out to staff dealing with problems such as dog fouling, fly posting, untaxed vehicles and graffiti.
The council says that as well as protecting staff, the cameras would also provide evidence to support complaints and allegations of inappropriate council staff behaviour.
The consultation will run until 9 July.
