Combined authority secures £23m funding

The Liverpool City Region has been awarded £23m from the government’s Regional Growth Fund.

The funding will be shared by three companies in the region - Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, Redx Pharma and Unilever UK Central Resources - creating 400 new jobs.

Cllr Phil Davies, chair of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority said: 'This is a fantastic boost for our region. One of our key objectives for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is to grow the economy and create jobs and today’s investment is a fantastic example of what can be achieved.

'By working together, I am confident that we will see many more investments like these in the region which will help the Liverpool City Region grow and prosper.'
