The mayor of Bury said it is ‘business as usual’ as she returns to her civic duties following a violent robbery.
Cllr Michelle Wiseman’s driver was attacked with a hammer and two Victorian chains were stolen following a robbery after an official engagement.
Cllr Wiseman said: ‘My focus this week is completely around Remembrance Sunday, when we remember all the people who gave their lives in the First World War and other conflicts in order to keep us free.
‘I wish to thank everyone who send their good wishes to me and my driver Jet Vyas, who is now recuperating at home.’
