At the London Borough of Barnet, we believe in making changes that will bring positive results. Our goal is to serve our community to the best of our ability and we place the people of Barnet at the heart of everything we do. Establishing better ways of working is important, but it’s the impact they have on our borough that’s paramount.
Head of Community Safety | £57,950-£64,389
A skilled senior manager and natural leader, you will have the experience to manage all community-related safety services for the Council. Alongside this you will lead the management and development of the Client Financial Affairs Service for Adult Social Care. It’s a key role where you will monitor budgets, drive continual improvement in standards and inspire teams, while leading on relevant strategies and engaging with elected members. To ensure we deliver the best services we can, you’ll need to build sound, productive relationships with a range of partners. In-depth knowledge of community safety is crucial, as is a track record of effective service delivery and awareness of social care charging.
Head of Business Improvement – Street Scene | £57,950-£64,389
You will play an important role in making our borough an even better place to live, work and visit. Your main task is to manage all business improvement, efficiency and change implementation activities for our Street Scene Delivery Unit. It means working collaboratively with partners and Streetscene managers to strive for innovation at every level, while driving a commercial approach to service delivery including influencing policy development. It’s all about delivering customer focused, operational services whilst seeking continuous improvement and commercial opportunities. A proven track record of effective service delivery is essential.
Both roles call for budget management skills and the ability to lead teams so they perform at their best. For further information about the changes in Barnet, the roles, how to apply and how to contact our retained consultants at Penna please visit our information site at this link
