    This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead role for Suffolk County Council in championing landscape and biodiversity conservation and help to make Suffolk 'The Greenest County'. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced landscape manager to join our team of committed professionals. Providing specialist advice and services on landscape, wildlife and woodland management in connection with planning applications for major infrastructure, minerals and waste developments.

    You will also advise the council on all aspects of the natural environment including devising new conservation initiatives with a wide range of partner organisations and support the AONBs, Brecks and other countryside management projects.

    You should have:

    * a degree or equivalent in an environmental science

    * a professional qualification in an appropriate discipline such as Landscape Architecture and at least be working towards chartered membership of the Landscape Institute

    * a proven record of partnership working and a very high level of communication and negotiating skills.

    Travel to locations throughout Suffolk and neighbouring counties will be required.
