“their determination, their talent, their passion, their engagement…” This was Lord Seb Coe’s tribute to the athletes and spectators of the London Olympic Games. Trafford, host to the hugely successful Olympic football at Old Trafford, is looking for candidates who can demonstrate these attributes to join our winning team. Trafford is a thriving, prosperous and culturally vibrant Borough at the heart of the Manchester City region. It is celebrated as the enterprise capital of Manchester and the economic powerhouse of Greater Manchester, and it hosts the largest industrial park in Europe.
It is the home of internationally renowned cultural and sporting attractions, but it also has areas of deprivation and faces the same financial pressures which are affecting local government and the wider public sector. However, we are forward thinking, innovative and continually looking to improve service delivery and drive investment opportunities.
Trafford has an exciting and challenging mix of commercial business, residential and industrial areas, and we are committed to providing a strong performance and investment base. We are determined to help shape the future of the Borough, foster economic growth and prosperity, and protect and enhance the environment.
We have recently restructured our whole Economic Growth and Development Service, and this is a unique opportunity to lead and be part of a new senior management team which will collectively ensure Trafford punches above its economic weight across the City region.
If you are an inspirational leader, dynamic, motivated, entrepreneurial and creative, and looking for a new challenge, then we would like to hear from you.
