Safeguarding Services Manager
Worcestershire County Council
£55,819 - £59,237 p.a.
07 October 2012
Worcestershire is a high performing Council which takes seriously its responsibilities to safeguard adults and to ensure high quality services are available to support independence. This role is critical to achieving success and we are looking for someone who can provide strong leadership in this area. To be successful as Safeguarding Services Manager, you will need to be a passionate champion of vulnerable adults and committed to partnership, teamwork, and evidence based performance management.
You will need to be accomplished in delivering or commissioning high quality services. You will have excellent and visible leadership skills and the ability to achieve positive outcomes for adults in need of care and support. You will lead directly a team responsible for safeguarding, reviewing, quality, standards and vulnerable adults but will also need to provide system-wide leadership to ensure that Worcestershire meets its wider responsibilities in the safeguarding arena. If you have a track record of success in improving adults services and can demonstrate commitment, tenacity and determination, we would like to hear from you.
In return we offer a rewarding leadership role in an organisation that is committed to partnership, safeguarding and service improvement where you can really make a difference to people’s lives. For an informal discussion about the role please contact Sue Pidduck (current postholder), or the Head of Adult Social Care Catherine Driscoll on 01905 763763.
Closing date: Sunday 7th October 2012.
