    Kent Safeguarding Children Board (KSCB) is looking for someone with strong business planning and programme management skills to lead the on-going development of its Business Unit and ensure delivery of its business plan priorities.

    This is a critical post and you will be required to work strategically with senior managers and leaders from a range of organisations and sectors, and be responsible for KSCB’s governance arrangements and systems of internal control.

    You will ensure the accountability of KSCB in fulfilling its functions and the coherence of its multi agency work. You will also support KSCB in its strategic leadership to enable it to scrutinise and support improvement across services responsible for safeguarding children.

    A thorough and up to date knowledge of relevant current and emerging legislation in relation to safeguarding children alongside detailed knowledge of stakeholders’ corporate and national policy agendas for children’s services are essential.
