Assistant Executive Director (Childrens Services)
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council
22 June 2012
This is an exciting time to be joining us at Tameside Council, just as our new senior management structure has been put in place. We are proud of our achievements which have been confirmed following our recent Ofsted inspection of our Safeguarding and Looked After Children’s Service which rated our service as adequate with 17 out of 22 judgements being mainly good or outstanding.
As the new leader of Children’s Services, we would expect you to use your senior management experience in Children’s Social Care to implement a robust strategy for the Service and further develop its’ team and drive forward continuous improvement to achieve high quality services. Above all, you must be committed to achieving the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people and be ready to support an equally dedicated team to deliver excellent outcomes which lead to successful lives for all our children and young people.
You will combine drive and determination with the ability to engage, inspire, empower and motivate the team to embrace change and develop innovative ways of improving our service. Your focus will be on the delivery of outcomes using evidence based planning and decision making. You will be a resourceful problem solver and be proactive in building and developing partnerships. Above all, you must be passionate about the future of the children, young people and families in our borough.
If you believe you are an outstanding leader with the above qualities then we would like to hear from you.
