Food Matters Live

Join the debate: Nourishing a nation is everyone’s business

How can we overcome obesity? What can be done to improve hospital catering? Can what we eat affect our cognitive health and performance?

All these questions and many more will be tackled at Food Matters Live – the biggest ever cross-sector event to address one of the most important issues of our time: the relationship between food, health and nutrition.

Taking place at London’s ExCeL centre on November 17-19, the event is free to attend and offers visitors a host of opportunities to network with colleagues - and a chance to gain a deeper understanding of the vital contribution that developments in diet, nutrition and research can make to the nation’s health.

Eden Project founder Sir Tim Smit, Sir David Amess MP, the BDA’s Fiona McCullough and broadcasters Claudia Hammond and Dr Ben Goldacre head a stellar line-up of speakers taking part in the Food Matters Live Conference programme. Childhood obesity, sustainable diets and changing dietary behaviour are just some of the themes on the agenda.

Eighty wide-ranging seminars will provide a unique learning opportunity. Topics include improving community nutrition, the future of free-from foods, maternal, infant, sports and personalised nutrition, and the impact of packaging design and marketing on consumer choices.

The Food Matters Live conference and seminar programme is CPD accredited by the British Dietetic Association.

Visitors can also explore a carefully curated exhibition, featuring over 400 leading organisations shaping the future of food and nutrition.

Food Matters Live is free to attend, including entry to the conference, seminars and all visitor attractions. Simply register on the Food Matters Live 2015 website.
