The Highland Council is partnering with digital participation charity Citizens Online to tackle digital inclusion issues in the Highlands.
The project, which is being backed by the Big Lottery Fund, will identify the barriers Highland residents are facing in accessing the Internet and support the uptake of digital skills and services.
Chair of the council’s resources committee, cllr Bill Fernie said: 'With more and more services being made available online it is important we ensure everyone can access and make use of all that is available digitally.'
The project is part of the Citizens Online’s Digital Resilience initiative, which will also be rolled out in Gwynedd, Plymouth and Brighton.
